Lahore Science Mela (LSM) organized By the Khwarizmi Science Society KSS is an open, free for all event. As Science is in the name it’s Pakistan’s largest science fair with young children from their kindergartens to High level Scientific Institutions presenting their projects and institutions with an aim to spread scientific knowledge to the whole community.
Now Lahore Science Mela 2022 will take place on 28th Octuber and 29th Octuber 2022.
Founder Of LSM and KSS
Dr. Saadat Hassan Siddiqi (1950 – 2020) was a Great Scientist and the Founding President of Al-Khwarizmi Science Society. An Excellent Teacher, A great Father and a Perfect Role Model for the coming generations.
KSS was found in 1997 and since then the society had been organizing Scientific Events. Their events aimed towards betterment and development of Pakistani students, and always the motive of these events was learning and interpretation of Science and Culture in Students and general Public.
Before LSM, KSS organized KSS Science Mela at Central Model School Lower Mall.
The First LSM was organized in 2017, by Dr Saadat Anwar Siddiqi, Dr. M Sabieh Anwar and their team by collaborating with Ali Institute.
Dr M. Sabieh Anwar is a Professor of physics, Ahmad Dawood Chair and Dean at the LUMS Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering.
With a kind, energetic, and passionate personality, Dr Sabieh Anwar is carrying the Torch of KSS to the Future and Team KSS is going to organize Lahore Science Mela 2022 on 28th and 29th Octuber 2022.
From Toddlers to Senior Citizens all are welcome to LSM 2022. The event integrates Innovation, Culture, Science and Technology to it’s perfect balance and students from across the globe come to display and demonstrate their projects to general Public in the easiest way of conversation.
